I participated in the IKEA/G-Capp Benefit in 2009. I took a 24x36 sheet of plywood and drilled out the details with a power drill. Afterwards, it was painted with acrylic paint. I made the clock in 1 week. When my parents got to the benefit ( I couldn't go because I was a minor and they were sering alcoholic beverages) they noticed that I was the only student artist, and I was one of the few artists to be in the Live Auction with the celebs. A lawyer ended up buying my clock for $700. Plus, I got a shout out on Frank Ski's radio Show. I guess they liked my clock.
